The sequel to ESSENCE OF TIME revisits the town of Trenton Falls, Kentucky as Peter Willows embraces the roles of being a Colonel and a widowed father. Recovering from his wife's death a year ago, he begins to find normalcy with Clara, his wife's twin sister, but is soon face-to-face with a dangerous French enemy.
